PHP-FPM

Installs PHP with the FastCGI process manager, and a ready-to-include Nginx snippet if Nginx is installed.

What it changes on your server

  • Installs PHP-FPM from your distribution and starts it.
  • If Nginx is installed, writes /etc/nginx/shellbay-php.conf, which you can include in a site.

Steps

  1. Refresh the package list
  2. Install PHP-FPM
  3. Start PHP-FPM and enable it at boot
  4. Prepare an Nginx snippet

Shellbay checks the server before the first step, and stops at the first step that fails.

When it's done

  • PHP-FPM is running. With Nginx, add include /etc/nginx/shellbay-php.conf; to a site's server block.
